Nearshore engineering teams

Engineers in your time zone who join your standup rather than send a report about it. Offshore work fails on the handover, not on the code: a question asked at four in the afternoon should be answered the same day, not the next one.

Sectors that trust us

What is nearshore, and what does it fix?

Nearshore means the engineers are close enough in time that the working day overlaps almost entirely. That one property removes the habit that makes distributed teams slow: writing a long message because the person who can answer is asleep, and waiting a day to find out it was the wrong question.

Nearshore or outsourcing: what is the difference?
Outsourcing hands over a specification and receives a result. Nearshore engineers sit inside your process, on your board and in your repository.
Do we manage them?
You decide the priorities and we handle the engineering management, which is the split most teams want. If you would rather run them directly that works too, and in that case we are explicit that delivery pace becomes yours to own.

Key takeaways

  • Full-day overlap: the working day overlaps almost entirely with yours, not for two hours.

  • Named engineers: specific people you interviewed, not a rotating pool of anonymous ones.

  • Your process: they work in your repository, on your board and under your own review rules.

  • Natively bilingual: writing and calls in Arabic and English alike, without a lead translating between.

  • Planned notice: a notice period in the contract, so growth and exit can both be planned.

How we staff

Named engineers, not a headcount.

  • Embedded squads

Two to eight engineers with a lead, working inside your board, your repository and your review rules from day one.

  • Single specialists

One named backend, mobile or platform engineer, placed into a team you already run and reviewed by your lead.

  • Engineering leads

Whoever makes the technical call also writes down why, so decisions survive the people, and answers within the hour.

  • Ramp-up and exit

A planned first fortnight and a contractual notice period, so joining and leaving are both boring, documented events.

One team, fully inside yours.

Why Cairo · Why Riyadh

Our workday is your workday, not a thin slice of it at the end.

Our engineers sit in Cairo and Riyadh, so the Gulf working day overlaps ours almost entirely.

Each row is a 09:00 to 18:00 workday in its own zone, drawn against yours. Offsets are read live from each zone clock, so a daylight-saving shift moves the bars rather than the labels.

Near vs far

The low hourly rate pays for itself in waiting, week after week.

How it works · our method

The SiaSol five-phase method, applied to this service.

  1. 01

    Discover

Most technology projects fail long before the first line of code — they fail at the question.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

Every slow process has an owner and a cost.

  3. 03

    Design

Architecture is a set of decisions you live with.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Software not in production is just cost.

  5. 05

    Evolve

The handover is the point, not the end.

Where we work

Close where it counts, bilingual everywhere

  • Egypt: Cairo (HQ) and nationwide delivery

  • Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, with teams on client time zones

  • Gulf and beyond: Arabic and English, one delivery standard

Cost & engagement

Nearshore: cost and engagement

A monthly rate per named engineer, with no placement fee and no margin on tooling. A two-week trial runs on the same rate.

Where the rate comes from

The rate is salary plus a fixed, separately shown margin, so a raise for the engineer is visible to you as exactly that.

  • Two weeks · same monthly rate

    Trial sprint

One engineer on a real task in your repository, with no commitment.

  • Monthly · per named engineer

    Standing team

Two to eight engineers with a lead, inside your own process.

  • Monthly · fully managed

    Managed team

The same team with the engineering management on our side.

FAQ

What to ask before you hire a team.

01Which hours do your engineers work?

Yours. The teams are in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which overlaps the Gulf entirely, Europe for most of the day and the US east coast for a usable afternoon. The overlap is written into the engagement, not left as best effort.

02Can we interview them first?

Yes, and we would rather you did. You interview the specific people who would join, not representative profiles, and you can decline any of them. The two-week trial exists for the same reason: a trial tells you about a person.

03What if someone is not a good fit?

Tell us in the first month and we replace them at our cost, including the ramp-up of whoever follows. After that a replacement runs on notice, with an overlap period so the knowledge moves across instead of leaving.

04Do they work on our repository or yours?

Yours, under your branch rules and review standards, with accounts in your organisation. We keep no copy of your code on our infrastructure, and the access list is yours to audit at any time without asking us.

05What is the minimum engagement?

Three months after the trial, roughly the point at which an engineer stops costing more than they produce. Shorter than that we usually decline, because the handover overhead means neither side gets value.

06Who manages the day-to-day work?

You set the priorities and we manage the engineering, which is the split most teams want. If you prefer to manage them directly we agree that in writing, because delivery pace then becomes yours and we stop reporting on it.

07Can the team grow or shrink?

Yes, on a month of notice in either direction. Growth is usually faster because we keep a short bench; shrinking takes the notice period so the remaining engineers absorb the work rather than inheriting a gap.

08Will they write Arabic documentation?

Yes, in either language or both, and it is worth deciding early. Most teams choose English for code and commits and Arabic for anything an operations colleague reads, which keeps the history searchable for everyone.

Ready for engineers in your own hours?

Tell us the roles you are missing and the hours you keep. We come back with named people, their CVs and a monthly rate.
